Oracle Record Sale of $9.585m Sub Penthouse

Niecon’s landmark venture at Broadbeach is in progress and the market is attracting strong interest.

The Oracle has been met with inquiries from local, interstate and overseas buyers, culminating in a record sale of a $9.585 sub-penthouse.

The sub-penthouse sold in 2008 in a deal described as a giant shot in the arm for the Gold Coast property market.

The whole-floor apartment, on the 48th level of The Oracle’s 50-floor beachfront tower, has been sold to an Australian buyer.

Niecon’s chief executive officer Con Nikiforides said the sub-penthouse had achieved a price that far and away exceeded the prices achieved for most Gold Coast penthouses, and showed continued strength in the local property market.

“Commencement of construction was a momentous day for Niecon and for Broadbeach,” he said.

“This is a defining project for us, a family company that has always placed immense importance on its reputation for quality and design and on its business integrity.

“To have engaged Grocon (the builders), also a family company imbued with pride and strong commercial ethics, is indeed a coup for us.”

The project’s visionary 40 and 50-level twin towers, which will change the face of Broadbeach, are scheduled for completion by late 2010.

The $800 million project, with a sophisticated retail area at its core, has been a giant sales success for Niecon.

Mr Nikiforides said the record sales run was a stunning endorsement of Niecon’s approach to the luxury apartment market.

“We aim to give our buyers not just superb homes, but superb environments that add new dimensions to their lifestyles,” he said.

“Our location is first-class, our product is top shelf, and we include world-class recreational and retail facilities.

“Every resident of The Oracle will be a mere stroll away from one of the best beaches in the world and from shopping centres, cafes, restaurants, a casino and convention centre.”

Each tower at The Oracle will have what has become a Niecon signature inclusion – a residents only executive lounge complete with cinema, private wine lockers, billiard table and library.

There will also be a Zen garden, teppanyaki grill, fi tness and lifestyle centre, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna and treatment rooms.
